Kaisha Yeager, M.S., LPC-A
Hello! My name is Kaisha Yeager and I was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, the place I cherish as my home. Becoming a therapist has been a life-long pursuit since 8th grade. When I graduated high school, I pursued a master’s degree in counseling, attending Walden University and graduating in 2022. I am excited to be a part of this field and to offer psychotherapy in the community I love and call home.
Supervised by Arlette J. Back, LPC-S, my current experience includes working in behavioral health with adults, young adults, adolescents, and children dealing with depression, anxiety, and anger issues. During my practicum experience, I worked with individuals of all ages dealing with some of the following issues: life adjustments, intellectual disabilities, social and coping skills, autism spectrum, traumatic brain injury, grief/loss, and suicidal ideation. My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I often focus on helping clients become aware of dysfunctional or negative thinking patterns so that they can view challenging situations more clearly. I believe the therapeutic process also requires a combination of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices. In honoring the client’s autonomy, I tailor the treatment to the individual and build a relationship with the client based on a humanistic approach.
As a therapist, it is my job to provide support by helping you channel and develop your strengths, learn better coping skills, and heal along this journey we call life. I invite you to a safe and collaborative environment where we can explore your issues together and find a path to feeling better!
I currently practice out of Borger, Tx under Twelve Roots Therapy, and provide in-person counseling as well as telehealth counseling. I currently work with teens and adults of all ages.
